Tehnician NOC Level2

Network operations center (NOC) technicians are in charge of monitoring critical network elements and engaging in proactive network systems monitoring.

Troubleshooting is a daily task for a network operations center technician, and they also monitor the software, network. They also check CPU performances and network statuses. A network operations center technician works regularly with customers and must be able to troubleshoot all problems that may arise.

The NOC technician has the responsibility of monitoring and maintaining the network, services and any telecommunications equipment for the monitored network. When the system malfunctions, the NOC technician troubleshoots the network, makes repairs and acts like a liaison link to the upper level operations team.

NOC Technician Tasks

  • Monitor automated  incident and outage reporting.
  • Troubleshoot, and resolve problems. Networking certifciations and knowledge are a plus (CCNA/CCNP, Linux, Windows)
  • Escalate problems to upper level teams that need to be involved in solving the problems.
  • Provide direct customer support when required.
  • Implement, maintain, and repair basic routing, IP switching and remote access protocols.
  • Create reports on up time, bandwidth usage, server utilization, and other key metrics.

What we look for at a NOC Technician:

  • Basic hands-on experience with Microsoft Windows Systems (basic windows server knowledge would be a plus)
  • Basic networking and security knowledge
  • Team player, able to join a dynamic team
  • Basic knowledge of Linux/MacOS operating systems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills( both English and Romanian language are required)
  • Strong organizational and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong client service orientation
